Cover Story
For almost half a century, a tiny nun walked the streets of Calcutta, serving
the poor, the diseased, the unwanted. In each face disfigured by pain, she
saw the face of Jesus. Serving him to the very end, the 87-year-old "Saint
of the Gutters" was strong and immovable, radiating a beauty no fashion magazine
could prescribe. Although her death leaves a void, we can be assured that
the faith, hope and love she exemplified will endure forever. |
