From Friends of CWRI LOVE your ministry, I have changed email accounts and you are the first to know, because I don't want to miss a single issue of the PTM e-Update! May God continue to bless all you do.—Email I for one will read every book Greg publishes! I have purchased his books for others too and will continue to do so along with directing them to your website. Thank you all so much for your love and ministry. For the first time in my life I am really getting freedom and I know I am not the only one that has had this life long struggle. Thank you!—Georgia Greg, you may remember me—an old friend from Minnesota. I've lost touch with you—probably the last time I saw or heard from you was 15-20 years ago. This past weekend I went to a lay speaking ministries conference sponsored by the United Methodist Church. I was visiting the displays at the conference, and was surprised to see three of your books on one of the tables of a facilitator. When I talked with him, he asked if I had ever heard of the Plain Truth Ministries and Greg Albrecht. He said he is a supporter of PTM. So here I am—back in touch after all those years!—Virginia I spent half a century in one of the "one true" churches (Mormon). Came to the biblical Jesus and have attended a few "Christian" churches over the past three years. I began to refer to myself as non-denominational, rapidly moving toward non-"Christian" label. Frankly, I'd about had it with them all until you guys came along. My wife pointed me your way. Thanks!—Email We are so happy to be able to help reach out to the unloved of this world with CWR. We attend services in our computer room with those around the world. May Jesus multiply our efforts and reach even more.—Massachusetts Thank you, CWR, for bringing Jesus Christ to me and making me free. When I am being dragged down, I say over and over again to myself that I am going to be alright because I live by faith alone, grace alone and Christ alone!—Delaware I joined a small group to discuss Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life. At our first meeting, when I confessed that I have no incentive to share my faith with strangers because I think it is not my job to convert people (of course I am pleased to help if only they show some interest) my group leader insisted that it is each Christian's responsibility to share our faith by telling our story to every individual as much as possible. I feel that this approach is manipulative and I don't like to force my Christian experience to someone who is not interested. I am not against the mission—but I question the method used to evangelize. I'm told that if I don't do my share that this could be an outrage to God. Now I feel peer pressure and a malaise. Over 30 years ago I was trapped by legalism, and then, by God's grace, was rescued from it all over 10 years ago. But I still suffer after-effects. I just can't understand why otherwise "good" churches insist on this confrontational evangelism—and you have helped me immensely. Because of PTM I understand that God doesn't expect me to "save" people against their own will. While I now attend a small church that does not expect me to force my beliefs down other's throats, I have also recently decided to support your work from now on with my money and prayers on a regular basis. You are doing a great job.—Québec, Canada |
