Update Your Windows Media Player and Web Browser

If you are having problems viewing our streaming Windows Media files, first make sure you have the latest free Windows Media Player downloaded and installed on your computer. Also make sure you are using an up-to-date web browser version:

Try Downloading Our MP3

If you continue to have problems viewing our streaming Windows Media files online, try downloading the MP3 version (audio only). Go to the CWR Main Page or CWR Archives and click on the 'free MP3' logo—located on the far right. Save the file to your hard drive then play that file. This is probably the best solution if the streaming media file spends too much time buffering or if you have a slow connection.

Windows Media Streaming

In times of high internet traffic you may experience stuttering or start and stop video streaming. One way to alleviate that is with the Windows Media Player open full screen, select "Tools", then "Options" and the "Performance" tab. On the screen that comes up select "Choose connection speed:" and from the menu choose a speed that is one or two speeds slower than your Internet connection. You can also use one of the many speed test tools available on the internet to help you more carefully determine what speed you should select from the pick list. One such tool very simple to use is at http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
