Question: Do you believe the same God who became Jesus, the son of God, was the Lord of the Old Testament, the God of Israel, the one who spoke to Adam, Noah, and Abraham? Was God the Father ever revealed in the Old Testament?

Answer: Dear Terry,

Yes, I believe that Jesus was and is the Lord – he is the Eternal Son of God, the second person of the Godhead, existing eternally. He was, according to Ephesians and Colossians and many other passages, the Creator. He was and is God – and is and was the Father and the Holy Spirit.

A great book on this topic which I recommend is titled, "Christ Before the Manger" by Ron Rhodes, a book about the life and times of the pre-incarnate Christ.
