Question: I would like to know what happens to our pets when they are gone. Will we see our pets in the next world?

Answer: There is nothing in the Bible that tells us whether animals will or will not be resurrected. The hope of Christians is the bodily resurrection, described for us in 1 Corinthians 15. The Bible gives no such insight about animals, whether they are domestic or not. This is not to say that our domestic pets are not precious and special to us, it’s just that human worth and the fact that we as humans are made in the image of God places us in a different dimension of God’s creation and plan.
