Answer: Dear Franklin,

"True" name? Are you implying that God is limited to the phonetic articulation of language? God is one, yet Triune. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is sovereign over all, uncreated, eternal and immortal. The names and attributes of God that are revealed to humans are a result of God’s revelation of himself to imperfect humans who exist in time and space. God condescends to use our imperfect language and our imperfect genres and forms of language to help us understand him, his holiness, perfection and glory. God is not limited by our finite and limited world – that includes words and language, which are, of course, symbols of reality.
