Answer: Dear Liz,

I assume by "what will happen," you mean in the age to come – the eternal fate of those who aren’t Christian. This question is not fully answered in the Bible. We are given what we need, in terms of God’s plan – but we are not told enough to allow us to righteously judge all who, for some reason, are not Christians. Therefore, while it is tempting for a Christian to dogmatize about many details of the afterlife, Christians are best served by remembering that:

1. God has not asked us to make this determination
2. God has not disclosed all necessary information we would need to make such a determination if he were to ask us.
