Question: Do
you believe that a person can be a Christian, saved, and live a homosexual
lifestyle? Doesn’t the Bible say
that there will be no homosexuals entering the gates of heaven?
I have a friend who believes that since he is saved, he can live however
he wishes and the blood of Jesus will cover it.

Answer:
Dear Garry,
According
to the Bible, the operative phrase in your question is “live a homosexual
lifestyle”.
Using
that phrase, the answer is “no”. A
Christian is not a practicing homosexual, any more than a Christian is a
practicing thief, murderer, alcoholic, etc. But homosexuals who are not
practicing, who are living that lifestyle, but who are celibate, who are
forgiven of their sins like all other sinners, can be Christians.
We
may not live in any way we see fit and think that the blood of Jesus covers our
blatant transgressions. Someone who is doing so most probably has never understood
the blood of Jesus. He is kidding
himself and has never been saved, for if he had been, he would not take such an
outrageous position.
In
Christ,
