Dear Greg,
In
one of your answers to a question at your web site you stated that it is
possible to exhibit the fruits of the spirit without actually being a Christian
or being saved – merely exhibiting these in a purely physical way.
Could you please elaborate on this and correct me if I misunderstood your
answer. This answer troubled me a
great deal. I must admit that some
of your answers are incredibly deep and difficult to understand, but I am not
giving up!

Answer: Dear Dave,
I
was trying to comment on the fact that morals/values/virtues can be produced by
the flesh. Perhaps I should have disclaimed a little more.
Of course, fruits of the spirit are only those OF the spirit.
BUT – all that humans can discern is the physical, outward
manifestations. Atheists can have
joy, peace, happiness, patience, etc.
