Answer:  Dear Edmond,

            Faith, in brief, is a belief and commitment to something or someone (for a Christian that would be Someone).  Christians have complete faith and trust in Jesus Christ, that he was and is who he claimed, that he did what he said, and that what he did is sufficient and complete for our salvation.  Faith is a basis of our relationship with God.
