Answer:  Dear Trey,

            The Bible does not tell us the name of Nimrod’s wife—it is pure speculation to assume that her name was Semiramis, and beyond that, it is a huge leap to ascribe to Nimrod and his wife a pivotal role in polytheistic paganism, as some do.  Those who do so use tradition and man-made ideas, not the Bible, to advance their thesis.  Genesis 10:8-11 is the primary biblical reference to Nimrod, along with 1 Chronicles 1:10 and Micah 5:6.  Semiramis, as a proper name, is not mentioned in the Bible at all.
