            Can you help me find out how I’m supposed to celebrate, and what I can and cannot do on the sabbath.  How can I find the answer, or do you have a book or tell me where to look in the Bible.

Answer:  Dear John,

            The sabbath has been fulfilled in Christ.  Christians celebrate him, not a day.  He is Lord of all, “even of the Sabbath” (Mark 2:27).

            It is important that we celebrate, “keep” and worship Christ—for he is our salvation, our righteousness, our peace, our redemption, our hope.  Books that make this clear?  I recommend a careful study of Romans, Hebrews, and Galatians.  Let me know if I can be of further help—you might also refer to other questions and answers posted on the web site under “Commandments.”
