Answer:  Dear William,

            Adam, either personally, or as typical of all humans after him, did not lose the image of God in the fall.  The image of God was tarnished and corrupted by the fall, but not lost.  The image of God is most probably a reference to that part of humans that distinguish us from animals.  Thus humans can create, compose, think, ponder, etc.  The image of God may also refer to the fact that humans are created to long for a connection with God.  We long to understand and communicate with God—that is to say; we are created in his image.
