            Can homosexuals be saved?  Is homosexual practice like any other sin or is it greater than other sins?

Answer:  Dear Kermit,

            Of course homosexuals can be saved.  All men and all women can be saved.  The Bible does not indicate that the practice of homosexuality is worse than other sins—that is a category that human beings have added.

            Recovering homosexuals can be and are Christians.  That is, as Christians they are not practicing homosexuality, much like a repentant thief, a habitual liar or an alcoholic who still recognizes his or her weakness and refers to himself as an alcoholic, but who has not taken a drop of alcohol for years.
