Question:  Dear Greg,

I heard a message about Christians only dealing with Christians, i.e. like in business, where possible.  They even quoted a Scripture that suggested Christians should only do business with Christians.  I can’t find it.

I have a Christian Travel agency (30% of our business with missionaries, churches, etc.) and I wanted to develop a new brochure and use this scripture.  Any suggestions?

            Thanks for your time,

            Melinda

Answer:  Dear Melinda,

I’m sorry but I am not aware of any passage that overtly teaches that Christians should only do business with other Christians.  It could be that you remember someone extrapolating from a passage like “be not yoked together with unbelievers” (2 Corinthians 6:14), and from such a statement concluding that Christians should not do business with anyone other than a Christian.  Of course, if one lived in an area where Christians were in a minority, such a statement would mean that they would either have to move or go hungry.

Hope this helps.  May God bless your business.

            In Christ,

            Greg Albrecht
