Question:  Dear Greg,

I have a friend becoming heavily involved in “A Course in Miracles”.  I know it is anti-biblical.  Can you recommend a book for me to read so I can be fully aware of its pitfalls?

            Thanks,

            Sherlyn

Answer:  Dear Sherlyn,

Marianne Williamson has more recently popularized “A Course in Miracles”.  While not its author, she has promoted the “Course” in her own books.

The “Course” is deceptive because while it uses biblical terminology, the terms are given drastically new meanings based upon a worldview more like Hinduism and pantheism than biblical Christianity.  Some of the teachings in the “Course” are occultic.  PTM believes the “Course” to be anything but Christian.  For further reading we recommend “Encyclopedia of New Age Beliefs’ by John Ankerberg and John Weldon, published by Harvest House Publishers.

            In Christ,
