Question:
Dear
Greg,
I was looking at what others are asking Greg.
I am interested to know your comments on the question about eating meat
and the question about eating pork.
Thanks,
Answer:
Dear
The position of PTM is that eating or not eating meat of any kind, or
pork, is an extra-biblical demand to which Christians are not obligated.
The old covenant prohibited pork for Jews, but Christians are not Jews,
not bound by the terms of the old covenant.
The Bible does not prohibit eating the flesh of animals, nor does it
insist that Christians must partake (the same is true of pork).
What we are not free to do is to tell others that they must or must not
do a particular thing not stipulated under the new covenant.
In Christ,
Greg Albrecht
