are many lessons that we may learn from biblical characters.
Many of these lessons are not specifically spelled out by biblical
authors, while some are. In the case
of Esau, Hebrews 12:15-16 warns us of these lessons:
1.
not to miss God’s grace
2.
to avoid becoming bitter
3.
to avoid sexual immorality and godlessness
4.
not to be shortsighted, living only for today,
pleasing our senses and without a long-term vision of the “inheritance
rights” God offers us.
