            A friend told me there is proof that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were married and had a daughter.  What can I say to respond to this?

Answer:  Dear Susan,

            There is no proof that Jesus was married to anyone, or that he had children.  Such outlandish claims need no answer beyond the response that anything that bizarre needs to present clear and documented proof—and claims are not proof.  The onus for proof in such a case is not with Christianity to scramble to answer, but for the far-fetched notion to present evidence (which it cannot, of course!).
