Question:  Dear Greg,

        I heard that the shortest prayer in the Bible is “Lord enlarge my coasts”.  Where may I find this prayer?  Who prayed it?  How does one interpret the use of the term, “coasts”?

Answer:  Dear Dick,

        It seems that you may have reference to the now infamous “Prayer of Jabez” from 1 Chronicles 4:10.  In response to the book by that title we published an article in the Sept-Oct 2001 Plain Truth titled, “Praying the Prayer of Jabez”.  It is listed on our website (www.ptm.org) under back issues.  The article should answer all of the questions you pose below— and then some!
