Question: .
I've been searching all over for this magazine. Praise God for your ministries. Could you please help me with a small question?
In the book of Genesis, on the first day, God made light and darkness, but he only made the sun and the moon on the third day. Scientifically, the days and nights are governed by the rotation of the earth around its axis and the presence of the sun.
Please help. I'm stuck.
God Bless.

Thanks for your compliments on the magazine. We are delighted to be of service - especially since, if we understand your e:mail address, you are residing in the Persian Gulf!
To your question. The sun is not the only source of light in the universe. The sun may have, in fact, existed from the first day, but only appeared on the fourth day. The Bible is not definitive about that. In saying "let there be light" God could have been causing mist and fog to clear. For example, we see light on a cloudy day - even an extremely dark and foreboding day when there are storms - though the sun is not visible, there is light.
Hope this helps.
In Christ's service,
