Q/A: Can you please explain the prophetic importance of Daniel 9:24-27?  How does the prophetic timetable break down, and when events are involved in say the 70 weeks, the 62 weeks, as well as the 7 weeks of verse 27? - Larry

Q/A: I am a Christian, and hope you will answer this question for me.  I have researched and asked people, but cannot get a good answer.   In the Bible it states that when Christ returns, he will raise up the dead in Christ and then the rest will be raised up to meet him (raptured).  Who are these people who were “dead in Christ”?  It makes it sound like people, up to this point, who are believers in Christ as their Savior and who have died have just gone to the grave until his Second Coming.  I always believed that when you die as a Christian, you immediately go to Heaven. - Rayma

Q/A: Who or what is the mark of the beast spoken of in Revelation? - Don

Q/A: I am writing in regards to 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.  Do you hold any position about end times?  I am new to Christianity.  I agree with you strongly about associating every event that occurs today as alluding to end times.  After all, the Bible tells us that no one knows--not even Jesus Christ--when this will occur.  I am always leery when money is to be made from scripture, books, memberships, etc. - Norman

Q/A: I am leery of your watered down approach to Christianity.  It seems as though for your “church”, anything goes.  From an article I read on your website concerning the Book of Revelation, it is made to seem like it is just a fluke book that you would prefer rather not be included in the Bible. I am concerned that you can so casually dismiss the appearing of the saints with Christ at the Second Coming.  Maybe I am missing something.  I am earnestly seeking the truth.  Your teaching doesn’t ring true for some reason. Please defend yourself in response. - Susan

Q/A: I was watching a television evangelist and he stated that the war in Iraq is the beginning of the end.  Is this going to be the start of the Tribulation or is this television evangelist and others jumping to conclusions? - Lois

Q/A: Since President Bush has created the “Roadmap for Peace” for Israel and Palestine , does this mean the roadmap will begin the Tribulation?  Am I listening to preachers that thrive on end-time prophecy too much? - Lois

Q/A: I have been following the news coverage on the fundamentalist Christian movement’s political influence on the Bush Administration concerning Israel ’s struggle with the Palestinians — and Muslims in general.  I am concerned that the American government will be pressured to follow a course that will bring it into conflict with Muslim nations around the world.  I don’t agree with the fundamentalist idea of opening the way for Jesus’ return by taking (by force, if necessary) the disputed lands and holy sites.  What may result is a backlash on the Jewish people who have suffered enough throughout history and, as a result, make the USA and Christianity a stench to the rest of the world.   I used to wonder why Plain Truth kept neutral in these matters.  Now I understand.  I guess you guys must have seen it coming. - Fred

Q/A: Some believe that Christ’s kingdom is here now.  Doesn’t the Bible teach that the kingdom of God is here now—that is, in each Christian?  If so, what is Christ coming to establish?  I hope you understand my question.  Christ is in all Christians, so is the kingdom of God here now?  “…the kingdom of God is in you…” - Anthony

Q/A: Many years ago I read several of Hal Lindsey’s books.  I found him very interesting to read.  One of the things I liked best about him is that he never claimed to be some sort of prophet and he always qualified his interpretations of prophesy.  He used several different Bible versions to help illustrate his views.  I’m curious to know if you’ve ever read any of his books and if you have any opinions about him. - Jack

Q/A: Where in the Bible will I find a description of the temple being built shortly after the Second Coming of Christ?  I recall reading about it a while ago and I must have lost it. Your help would be much appreciated. God bless you! - Nathan

Q/A: I have been doing a recent study of the book of Revelation.  Chapter 12 is about the origin of the church—the “woman” from her pre-existence to her escape from Satan’s wrath at the end time.  Secondly, the chapter also talks about the birth of Christ (the “man child”) through his sacrificial death and ascension into God’s throne where he is today, and thirdly, Satan the “dragon”, his exploits from the angelic rebellion to his persecution of the church before the second coming of Christ. If you can expound on this it would be helpful.  Needless to say, this is a book heavy in symbolism . Fred

Q/A: I have been studying into Jesus Christ’s prophecy in Matthew 24.  The Lord states that many will come in his name, claiming that he is the Christ and will deceive the many.  What is the deception that the Lord is talking about here?  Are Christians generally in the most part deceived?  Please expound on these questions.  Thanks. Fred

Q/A: Hello again Greg.  In studying the book of Revelation I have come upon something I need to ask you about.  Could it be when something is described as “what was, and is not, and is to come” could that be because we in this physical realm are constrained by time and those in the spirit world are not?  In other words, can God and the angelic realm look over the complete arena of creation including all of time?   If I have not been clear with my question please forgive me.  I trust you enough if you do not understand it you won’t think I’m going off the deep and. - Ron

Q/A: Luke 21:36—the destruction of the temple and Jerusalem—when is this time referring to? Also Mark 13:20—God shortening the days—what does this verse mean? - Pat

Q/A: Please explain Malachi chapter 4, verses 5 and 6.  Has Elijah already done this or is it referring to the Second Coming of Christ?  When will the hearts of the fathers be turned to the children and the children’s hearts turned to the fathers? - Alberta

Q/A: When Jesus mentions the Abomination of Desolation in Matthew 24, is he implying a Temple will be standing and in use during the tribulation?  I have heard it explained in two ways—that he was making reference to the fall of Jerusalem in 70 AD, and also that there will be a third temple built.  Also, what are your thoughts on an actual Antichrist coming into power? - Jeff

Q/A: My 33-year old son sent me the following e-mail note this morning:  “In the year of the new century and nine months, from the sky will come a great king of terror.  The sky will burn at forty-five degrees, fire approaches the great new city.  In the city there will be a great collapse of two twin brothers torn apart by chaos while the fortress of the great leader will succumb.  The third big war will begin when the big city is burning.   The events of Tuesday, September 11, 2001 and the continuing days since are very frightening and have raised questions from my kids. ... How can I answer their fears to the above e-mail and recent attacks of terror on our country?  Does the Bible say how we are to react to these things?  Can you help me with an answer for them? - Deborah

Q/A: It seems that Jeremiah 33:18 indicates that sacrifices will be ongoing when Christ returns.  Is this a correct understanding of this passage? - Jim

Q/A: Greetings to you and your staff.  I support almost everything you write, but I had a problem with the article on the “Left Behind” movie/book series.  I have both seen and heard positive results from people inspired to think about their lives and what their future might be.  We had a local TV personality tell a Christian talk show about how someone gave him a copy of the “Left Behind” video and he went and gave his life to Christ.  Others I have heard of, but the very most important one to me was in my own family—after showing the video to my son, I asked him where he thought he would be if he were to die on his way back home.  He said he wasn’t sure.  I asked him if he wanted to be sure and he said he did.  As a result, the Holy Spirit blessed me with the honor of leading my son to Jesus Christ.   You and I both know that the “Left Behind” series is biblically flawed in many ways, but after all, it is fiction and it is good.  So what I want to tell you—that even though I felt a little miffed at what you wrote, God showed me that I needed to cut you some slack too! - Gene

Q/A: Where did the number 666 come from? How was it calculated? What is its’ significance? - Steve

Q/A: Christ told the disciples he would return. Didn’t he do just that in most of their lifetimes just like he said he would do? Aren’t the prophecies about the end already fulfilled? - Wayne

Q/A: How do I convince someone that Revelation is not apocalyptic but prophetic? I am teaching a Daniel class. She is Roman Catholic. - LaQuay

Q/A: Is there more to the return of Jesus Christ than his dramatic glorious return that will be visible to the world? How could Paul have been so wrong about the return of Jesus Christ? Does reference to "last days" really just mean all of the time after Christ – the latter days, since we don’t have any idea when he will return anyway? Is this not a better way to look at this than trying to pinpoint the "last days" just before the return of Christ, which seems to get Christians off track and getting all involved in prophecy and speculation? - David

Q/A: I recognize the importance of always asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit when it comes to analysis and interpretation of the Scriptures, especially concerning the Second Coming of Christ. I agree with you that our Lord has warned us many times to always be ready because we do not know when the Master will come. Before his death, Christ himself told his disciples that he didn’t know the exact time when he would return, but only his Father in heaven. However, I believe that since Jesus gave the book of Revelation to his apostle John, our Lord knows when he will return and he is preparing his church by giving a better understanding of the Scriptures. Near the end many will have grown in knowledge and in grace and will have a much improved understanding of the book of Daniel and the book of Revelation, just to name a few. They will be able to recognize the signs that Jesus told us to watch for before his Second Coming. Therefore, I honestly believe that it is possible to know when our Lord Jesus is coming back to Jerusalem because the Holy Spirit is the one who provides the answers to those who seek according to our Father’s will in heaven. What do you think? - Pierre

Q/A: I believe that there is one God, and only one.  I believe that there is a deity, but can the Holy Spirit be a person?  Is the Holy Spirit a person?  I also have a question about hell.  You say that it is a separation from God.  How can you explain the Rich Man and Lazarus?  I thought hell was the grave.   Anyway, I enjoy reading the Q&A’s.  I realize that many people like me have lots of religious baggage that needs to be checked.  I say that because I held onto the great Christian hope of a rapture. I am weary and I feel uneasy about the Rapture.  I know that many have come and claimed doomsday dates.  I just want the truth about what God is teaching, nothing taken away nor added to the Gospel.  I am still searching and pray that the Lord gives us guidance and truth. - Mary Jane
