PTM WEEKLY UPDATE -- MARCH 23, 2008
What our readers and listeners say
The Shack
I noticed a few letters from your readers where you caught some flack for recommending The Shack. I wanted to share my story. In April, 2006 my sister was killed by her husband. Since then, I have had my own version of The Great Sadness. Spending time with God at The Shack and the book's main character, Mack, has helped me a lot to deal with my own anger and sadness. While I understand the book may challenge some people's traditional ideas about God, I found the book to be enlightening and a great help for me to start to reconnect with God. -- EmailDreams, extremes and religious schemes
Regarding your article Dreams, extremes and religious schemes -- my dreams are so screwy, I'd like to see some of these clowns try to interpret them. It would be a barrel of laughs, I guarantee. -- Washington
