PTM WEEKLY UPDATE -- MARCH 31, 2008
What our readers and listeners say
New format
Just wanted you to know that I appreciate the new format! Since I use a library computer, I have time restraints on me, and I now can go directly to material that I want to read first. Thanks! Oh, how I wish that it were possible to have gifts transferred from one person to another -- it would sure save me a lot of time and frustration. Anything that I want to do I really have to work at it and am usually the last one to finish. It sure would be easier to just have God just transfer a particular talent or ability to me. But in his great wisdom he knows just what he is doing and to keep me humble. Our prayers are always with you. -- EmailMarilyn Manson
Reading the article about Marilyn Manson made me think about the false teaching I have heard over the last 30 years. As recently as two weeks ago I heard our associate pastor insert a teaching about the Mayan calendar and the "end times." I just shook my head and thought about how God has warned us about astrology. It has saddened my heart since hearing it. He made a comment that if people wanted he would teach more in depth about the Mayans. If he does I will walk out. I have heard too much paganism used to justify false views about the end times. -- MinnesotaPTM online community
As we have transitioned from what we finally came to see as an unhealthy, authoritarian church, moving away from what you have called the religious grinder, that journey has been made easier by having you at the other end of the computer -- reminding us that healing is not linear, encouraging us that we were not going crazy, and affirming our judgment about matters. Having the PTM Weekly Updates, the sharing of experiences, the online community and much more -- these have all helped. So, thank you! -- EmailRETURN TO PTM WEEKLY UPDATE CONTENTS PAGE
