The Seven Wonders of the World
A group of students was asked to list what they thought were the Seven Wonders of the World. Although there were some differences of opinion, these received the most votes:
1. The Great Pyramids of Egypt
2. The Grand Canyon
3. The Taj Mahal
4. The Panama Canal
5. Chicago's Sears Tower
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. The Great Wall of ChinaThe teacher noticed that one girl was still working on her paper. "Are you having trouble with your list?" asked the teacher.
"Yes -- a little," answered the girl. "I can't make up my mind because there are so many."
"Well," said the teacher, "tell us what you have and maybe we can help narrow it down."
At first the girl hesitated, then she replied, "Okay -- here's what I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:"
