Hand in Hand – Debbie Hughes
Hand in Hand
Instead of jackhammers and wrecking balls
go gently into your deconstruction.
Don’t tear out the wheat with the weeds
as you sift through your heart and beliefs.
Be gentle with your soul as you allow your mind to see BIGGER -LIMITLESS.
As you DETOXIFY the Treasures of your heart,
don’t burn it all down and scrap it.
Be gentle with it.
As if you just pulled up the old stained linoleum floor to reveal a beautiful solid oak one.
As I reconstruct my faith I allow the old to be pulled up to reveal the beauty hidden underneath.
I see truth and hope.
My savior in a whole new light.
Redemption of the world.
My world – your world
In Jesus becoming flesh He heals my flesh.
He restores my soul
And gives me air to breathe,
He reveals Abba Father to me.
When I see Jesus
I see my God through eyes the
ancient ones could not.
My Abba is not a vengeful, terrifying entity who is waiting to destroy me if I make a mistake.
No, He is MERCIFUL – PATIENT – LOVING.
He knows my heart and fears because they are His.
I experience JOY AND HEARTBREAK
hand in hand
As I walk with my Abba.
